From December 4 to 10, 2023, Professor Christofer Leygraf from KTH Royal Institute of Technology Visits NCMS for Academic Exchange. During his stay, on December 7, Professor Leygraf delivered the 114th lecture in the China Distinguished Materials Scientist Forum, titled "Atmospheric Corrosion: Advancements in an Evolving Research Field." The event was attended by faculty and students from NCMS, and representatives from related departments. 

The presentation was both insightful and accessible, tailored to audiences at different academic levels. Through carefully designed experiments, Professor Leygraf provided an in-depth analysis of atmospheric corrosion processes. He illustrated multi-scale research cases—from macroscopic to microscopic perspectives—helping attendees understand the latest advancements and methodologies in atmospheric corrosion research. He also shared groundbreaking findings on the safety of copper canisters in long-term storage of spent nuclear fuel.
